I am often asked how I got involved in Ayurveda and it is clear that I was interested, at least on a subconscious level, much earlier than I realised. Having lived in Sri Lanka for 9 years, many of my lifestyle routines and dietary habits during this time were naturally Ayurvedic.  It was only after I departed Sri Lanka when I started to be more curious about Western dietary and living habits; and then started questioning why many people continued to feel unwell even though their diets were deemed to be ‘healthy’.


Alongside yoga, my interest in natural holistic healthcare became a larger part of my personal development and spiritual growth. It was following a stay at an Ayurvedic clinic in Rishikesh, India, that I decided to commit to this journey and dedicate myself to the study of Ayurveda.

I enrolled as a student with the Ayurveda Institution UK and started my journey into Ayurvedic health and nutrition under the guidance of compassionate and authentic healers Dr Deepika Rodgrigues and Dr Wathsala Wijesinghe.

My vision is to share the wealth of Ayurvedic wisdom in an uncomplicated and accessible way. I want to encourage people to move away from the ‘pill for every ill’ mentality, and to a more natural and holistic approach to health. For me, good health is not the absence of an illness but that of optimal wellness and this starts with a ‘prevention rather than cure’ mentality.

Ayurveda is a Sanskrit word meaning the ‘Science of Life’ with its origins tracing back to over 5000 years ago.

Holistic, bespoke and natural, Ayurveda regards each individual as unique and recognizes the need for a customized approach to balance and true well-being.  We are each a combination of three Doshas, Vata, Pitta and Kapha, with one of two being predominant. It is the specific makeup of our constitution, taken together with many other factors such as genetic background, geography, diet, lifestyle, relationships and work which determines our unique nature. Our constitutional makeup is as unique to us as our DNA. Imbalances in our constitution cause disorders in the body and mind. Ayurveda aims to treat the root cause of the illness by balancing our three Dosha’s back to a natural state.

The Ayurvedic journey is not about being perfect, it’s about reconnecting to your true self and understanding your natural balance.
